What is Campus France?
Campus France is the official French agency for international students. In Lebanon, its “Études en France” procedure is mandatory for higher education in France: your applications, your interview and the information sent to the consulate for your visa all go through it.
The procedure, step by step
- Create your account on the official “Études en France” platform.
- Complete your file: personal details, studies, grades, languages and your study project.
- Upload your documents: passport, transcripts and diplomas, CV, motivation letters, language certificate (DELF/DALF/TCF or IELTS/TOEFL) and, if needed, translations into French.
- Choose your programs and submit your file before the deadlines.
- Pay the Campus France fee (the amount is set by Campus France Lebanon).
- Pass the interview with Campus France Lebanon. They check that your project is clear, coherent and realistic.
- Receive the answers from the schools and confirm your choice.
- Move on to the visa, with your Campus France file already validated. See our student visa guide.
Already accepted by a school?
If a private school has already accepted you directly, you still go through Campus France before the visa, with a shorter procedure for accepted students.
How to succeed in the interview
- Explain your project simply: why this field, why France, why this school, and what job you want afterwards.
- Show the link between your past studies and your new program.
- Know your budget: tuition, rent and monthly living costs, and who pays.
- Prepare in the language of your program, French or English.
Common mistakes
- Starting too late: the platform opens in the autumn for the next September.
- Generic motivation letters, the same for every school.
- Missing translations or unclear transcripts.
- A project that does not fit your profile or your budget.
